Karl Kolley
Born on the first day of spring after the Winter of Discontent and raised on Merseyside with the consequences of that venal vernal equinox, as a member of the proletariat Karl Kolley can not afford to be a starving artist:
“My artworks are not just an articulation of materials nor are they art for art’s sake, they are hyperstitional interventions infused with the spirit in which they were created. Art privileges its maker with a unique platform to circumvent the traditional obstacles that prevent communication between the structures of social stratification... I am interested in the relationship between art and politics but I don’t make political art, I make art politically.”
