Gallery Hire
Do you have a project, exhibition or event in mind, and need space and support to facilitate it?
When we aren’t using our Gallery space, we work with small organisations or artists to give them the space needed to help fulfill their project vision. As well as space, we can offer a range of additional support depending on your project, including marketing, installation or technical support, and bar facilities.

FACILITIES

THE GALLERY AND STUDIOS ARE based on the ground floor. The entrance into the gallery has large double doors (measuring 170cm) and is step free. We are able to offer additional seating inside the gallery and tours of the exhibitions are available on prior-arrangement with the Artist Leads. The gallery is lit by strip lights and is unable to be dimmed for those sensitive to lighting.
Toilets
The Royal Standard is equipped with 5 toilets, baby changing facilities, as well as a fully accessible toilet and shower room. Whilst the toilets are labelled as women’s and men’s, please use the facility that best suits you.
Food and Drink
Visitors are welcome to bring packed lunches into the building but any food and drink must be consumed in our seating areas and not inside the gallery itself. We have kitchen facilities available, and during evening events and private views, we provide a bar with refreshments including alcoholic drinks. The gallery space leads onto Ryde – a café that sells a range of food and drink which is open until 3pm.
health & safety
Evacuation routes are clearly marked and staff are trained in handling evacuations. Assistance dogs are welcome. No smoking is permitted anywhere. There is clear signage throughout the site. We can offer temporary secure storage for luggage and coats, left at the owners own risk.

Our pricing for Gallery Hires differs depending on who you are, your project, and what your plans are for the Gallery. If you are a small arts organisation or charity, with similar values and mission to our own, and would like to partner with TRS on a project using the gallery space, get in touch. each proposal is considered on a case by case basis. our core pricing can be broken down as followed:

enquiries
Artist Leads will have to review gallery enquiries against the following criteria:
Client and organisations purpose
Activity happening in the gallery e.g. will it be loud, time of day etc.
Extra support needed and artist lead capacity - bar, technical support etc.
If activity is unsafe, unsuitable for the space or will cause a disturbance to the working environment for studio members, we will not be able to accept the hire. Activity must also fall in line with TRS’s aims and values as an organisation.
