For one night only, The Royal Standard presented Autumn Triple Threat; artists from Bristol, London and Newcastle brought together through happenstance, practicality and timing for an evening of performance, exhibition, food and people.
As the culmination of a week long residency at The Royal Standard, studio holders from The NewBridge Project, Newcastle, exhibited work made in situ.
Anna & Nicole (Bristol) launched the nationwide tour of their Studio 36 poster-rack publication project in The Royal Standard social space. The publication takes the form of a large poster display rack, with content generated by disposable cameras given to each resident upon arrival including work from Pesce Khete, Joseph Ridgeon, Christopher McSherry, Harry Meadows, Carl Slater and Howling Owl Records
Finally, The Royal Standard hosted Robert, who brought his series of ‘A Dozen Small Gatherings’ outside of London for the first time featuring jerk chicken and experimental sounds in The Royal Standard car park. This was entitled The Rock and the Ripples and was the eleventh of twelve events.
