VaRt


VaRt sends the visitor on an emotional odyssey of virtual reality art and contemporary paintings inspired by the lived experiences of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. 

This visual arts exhibition leads you through digital virtual reality and analog intercultural experiences, blending the digital future with the memories of the past. This collaboration demonstrates innovation, social conscience and opens the doors for all people. 

4Wings is a women's organisation that works alongside survivors of trauma or abuse, predominantly asylum seekers and refugees. While we are all creative, not all have access to cultural spaces. 4Wings aims to work with artists and a variety of organisations to remove these barriers. They aim to contribute to more inclusive cultural spaces by providing access, a sense of belonging and ownership to socially excluded people. Exhibiting paintings that were created by 4Wings members during their creative programmes. The paintings tell the stories of home, identity and of people’s connections, they express their memories and their hopes for the future. On their journey the visitors will meet the avatars of the women who make 4Wings the multicultural and welcoming organisation it is.

SAE Institute provides a creative media programme from short courses and professional training through to bachelor and postgraduate degrees with more than 50 campuses around the world. The VR artwork in this exhibition was created by the 2nd Years Game Art and Animation students at SAE Institute Liverpool Campus. The students displayed outstanding professionalism and commitment into the development for each VR sculpture from the lessons conducted by their lecturers in Liverpool.
