TRS is proud to present the debut solo show of Freddy Francké.

Under the Cracked Lid of The Beetroot Man is an ‘earth shattering’ culmination of ‘interdisciplinary’ works exploring the artists’ attempts at self-identification and vulnerability from the last two years curated in a calming, sensory and accessible environment.

Expect more woeful themes than you can shake your fists at the clouds at.

About the Artist:

Francké’s practice revolves around researching identity and heritage and using his internal experience as a guide for self-discovery. He creates works based on this research, digested through his imagination into surreal landscapes and characters, with a focus on extreme perspectives and vibrancy.

The mediums Francké is currently working in are painting, screen printing, 3d modelling for VR, 2d animation and poetry.
Freddy studied Chemistry at Liverpool University, which enables him to approach the mechanics of creating with curiosity. In 2021 he was chosen for Convenience Gallery’s artist development fund which advanced his screen printing practice.

He is currently researching the history of racial attitudes in colonial Sri Lanka, and using this to create a body of work, highlighting the effects of imperialism in coloured communities and drawing parallels to the present day.
