Nothing could have prepared Mary Seacole House or any other organisation for that matter, for what has transpired this year. The initial first weeks of lockdown were spent getting in touch with every client helping them to fully understand the risks associated with Covid-19 and why changes had to be made to our services, but with the commitment and hard work of the staff team and support of the trustees we have managed to continue delivering the best possible services for our members and families some of whom are extremely vulnerable.

The effects of the pandemic will be with us for some years yet. Many people will and are already feeling isolated and lonely. This makes our service vital and even more relevant now and for the future.

Our objective is to lessen the impact of Covid 19 by continuing to provide vital emotional and where possible practical support and by continuing to work alongside other agencies and services, keeping up to date with the latest news and assistance.”
