Working to the duo’s distinctive forms of making, and their signature of treating video as a sculptural device, this installation will revisit recent collaborative and individual works, as well as ‘never before’ screened works, re-working or re-ordering previous body’s of work/ collaborations, playing with the idea of what an artist retrospective could be.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Cos Ahmet and Gary Finnegan have been collaborating since 2020. Both artists share an interest in the moving image. Cos is best known for his performance and video works, making enquiries into body-material interventions. Gary’s practice uses sound, the moving image, sculpture and space, to comment on everyday life. The duo’s method to making their films pivot between individual directions, and a combined approach of using elements of chance. Keeping to a loose set of rules, the artists create works separately, choosing to reveal their films when they meet to put them to task. This is key to their collaborations.
