Nicole Stiff
Nicole is a long durational performance artist with a knack for collaboration and an unhealthy obsession with rotting jars. Story telling underpins Nicole’s practices navigating the lines between reality and fiction, silliness and seriousness. Nicole’s work often exists through mutated rumours, spiralling far out of my control. Nicole’s practice continuously attempts to examine performance, pushing the limits of what performance is and how it can be used as means of research through doing.
Here are some of Nicole’s key collaborations: Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, a short film created with Parice Bowyer during my LJMU residency at TRS, and shown at Convenience Gallery; and Quarantine Connections, an online Google street view exhibition Nicole curated during the height of the pandemic.
